It’s funny because we are often too busy even to say the most important things. But we don’t like to remain silent.
In the last couple of years, sometimes we felt awkward to be “Christian”.
Because in this human world, people think Christianity is a religion. Religion is about politics. And politics is about power.
Jesus is not about politics.
Jesus is not about power.
Jesus is not about choosing sides.
Jesus is not about who is right or wrong.
Because in the eyes of God, no one is righteous.
We are all sinners. We are no different.
Jesus is about repentance.
Jesus is about forgiveness.
Jesus is about salvation.
Faith is not ideology.
Faith is not lifestyle.
It’s just a relationship between you and God.
We, each person each place, try our best to accomplish our life mission, guided by God.
We may sound a little different from other “Christian bands” in the world.
Probably because we are a band from Japan.
As a Christian band based in Japan, we feel compelled to say this.
We believe in Peace.
We are fighting our spiritual war, yet we don’t believe in war.
We are against any war, violence, atrocity, acts against humanity.
In the old days in the Bible, people in Jewish nation wanted a powerful savior, someone with political and military power.
But God’s plan was different. He gave us the Savior, someone with Love, Mercy and Forgiveness.
Only Jesus could do that.
We are not perfect.
In this world, no one is really right.
That’s why we have to repent, forgive and love each other.
We thought that’s the very basics of Christianity.
Sometimes we wonder if it’s right to be a part of this “Christian” religion.
But no one can take away our faith in Jesus.
We don’t care if someone say we are not “Christian”.
Because we think, that’s exactly how He bore the cross, bearing all the sins of humankind.
