“Sonic Soldiers” -Superheroes Music Video- Imari Tones

It’s been a while but we made a new music video!

About the song:
“Sonic Soldiers” is a straightforward 1980’s-style hard rock song included on “Nabeshima”, released in 2021.
At first, we thought the song was a little cheesy. But later we found out that many people love this song. We added this song to our live setlist sometime around late 2023 or early 2024.
It’s about superheroes who fight for love, truth, and God. Written in 1980’s “Japa-meta” (Japanese metal) style, the song conveys a Gospel message in both Japanese and English.

About the video:
On a sunny day in October 2024, we did an intensive video shoot at Asao Christ Church. That was the last thing Shinryu did with us before leaving the band.
We have made 5 music videos using that footage so far (for the songs on the “Coming Back Alive” album). It’s surprising, however, that we still have enough footage for at least 3 more songs. That’s why Shinryu is still featured in this video, as well as our current drummer Kenshin. (He is still our friend after all😉)

So we decided to make a video for “Sonic Soldiers” after all this time. We wanted to feature superheroes, because it’s a superhero song. Luckily, we now have AI tools available in this modern age. We transform into our “superhero” forms and fight. That’s what this video is about. Not only that, we decided to feature some of our friends in their superhero forms as well, because everyone is a hero when you believe in love.

This is still an indie video. We have always loved making this kind of “homemade” music videos. This one is no exception, even though we used some AI tools for assistance.

Thank you very much!
