Love story of Rock & Faith

[Love story of Rock & Faith]

Looking back, the history of the band Imari Tones began in the 1990s when Tak and Marie met in high school.
Inspired by the presence of a special woman named Marie, Tak wrote many songs based on a personal love story.
In 2004, it became a band.
It was a typical Japanese rock band singing about pure love.

In December 2007, Tak met Jesus.
He realized that it was Him who had been guiding them all along, and that the true reason for love is Jesus Christ.

From 2008, Imari Tones began playing Christian music. They called themselves “the first Christian heavy metal band from Japan.”

Until then they had sung about their own lives and personal love, but now they began singing about something greater—love for God and the relationship between people and God.

They toured both Japan and the United States.

Eventually they began to pursue their identity as Japanese artists and started creating Christian rock music inspired by Japanese history.

Among their representative works are the straightforward, faith-inspired rock album “Victory In Christ,” the concept album “Jesus Wind,” which portrays Japanese history from a spiritual perspective, and “Nabeshima,” which fuses traditional Japanese culture with heavy metal.
