ハロー、日本のクリスチャンヘヴィメタルバンド、Imari Tones (伊万里音色)のToneです。 2017年11月にリリースした、僕たちの新しいアルバムである”Jesus Wind”を楽しんでくれていることと思います。 見てのとおり、”Jesus Wind”は、日本の歴史をテーマにしたコンセプトアルバムであり、楽曲にはそれぞれに背景となるストーリーがあります。 僕たちがライナーノーツを含んだブックレットを付けてCDを制作したのはそういった理由からです。背景となるストーリーを伝えるためです。 けれども、そのライナーのインターネット版をまだ作っていないことに気が付きました。 ですので、”Jesus Wind”のストーリーを伝えるために、ここにライナーノーツを掲載したいと思います。 これは基本的には、CDのブックレットに書かれたものと同じものです。(CDブックレットにはすべて英語で書かれています。) けれども、これはあくまで、ひとつの解釈に過ぎない、僕たちなりの解釈に過ぎない、ということを覚えておいてください。 他にもいくつもの解釈の仕方があるのであって、皆さんが音楽を通じて感じることがあれば、それが真実です。 たとえば、「The War」という曲がありますが、ライナーノーツの中には、私は「この曲の最後の部分は、爆撃機の飛来する音を表現している」と書きました。 けれども、実際はもともとの意図は、広島と長崎に落とされた原子爆弾を表現することにありました。 しかし、実際にギターを録音してみると、フィードバックの音が入り、それはまるで爆撃機の飛ぶ音のようになりました。 けれども、解釈はひとりひとりのリスナーにお任せしたいのです。 もしあなたが何かを感じたのであれば、それは真実であり、僕たちは皆さんの想像力を制限したくはありません。 それを踏まえた上で、これは私たちのひとつの解釈としてのライナーノーツです。 Jesus Wind / Imari Tones KKRS-023 …
