We rocked the famous Shimokitazawa town.
31st August 2024 – Venue: Rokudemonai Yoru, Shimokitazawa, Tokyo
The event was hosted by our fellow Christian rockers – Tokeisou (時啓草), The Spicky Heads, and the Christian rapper Christaman Key @real_gospel_poetry – and also Filia @mcvoxvox )
The event was attended by Christians and non-Christian people alike.
Pastor Yabe (ex.yakuza pastor and a good friend of ours) gave a great message and people heard the word of Jesus!
You don’t get to see Christian rock bands very often in Japan. But something is happening here in Tokyo. Punk, metal, hiphop, playing together for the glory of Jesus. We feel blessed and honored to be a part of this.
(Tak also played guitar for The Spicky Heads, totally off the cuff, because the guitar player could not make it to the show due to some logistics issue. He was glad to help friends.)
The event took place in the midst of a strong typhoon. A dangerous storm was expected and we were nearly forced to cancel the show. But what happened next? The typhoon went away. It suddenly changed its direction. This is a strong testimony and yet another proof that God hears our prayer!
