A happy update.
Our new album titled “Coming Back Alive” is now complete!
Mix&Mastering job is done. We have 12 songs in their complete form.
It has been a long way.
And it was a very dramatic journey.
Looking back it was back in 2017 that I wrote the first song for this album. Last song was written in 2022.
Back in 2022, we selected the songs and made a demo.
Sometime in early 2023, I wrote all the lyrics and we started to work on these 12 songs.
However, some unexpected thing happened.
A fire in the apartment building we (Tak&Marie) lived in.
It was a devastating experience. Because we lost a place to live. We lost most of our belongings.
We received so much support from you. From our friends and fans, brothers and sisters. We are forever thankful. (And we will put your names on the album liner notes!)
After the fire incident, we were somehow guided to Asao Christ Church in Kawasaki city. That changed our life. That changed our plan. And that change was for a good direction.
We were allowed to record the album at the church. (It’s a big building for a Japanese church.) I can’t say how big a blessing it was for us.
Luckily, our guitars and some of our recording equipment were fine. They were covered in ash but we cleaned them up.
We were led to serve God more. We were led to help the church. (And some good things are happening at Asao Christ Church right now!)
It was a new start for us. It was God’s guidance.
We started our “Heavy Metal Church” project, which led us to some exciting things and to meet new friends.
We have played many blessed concerts since then. We did some mini tours in Japan – Osaka, Aichi, Shizuoka – (Shinryu&Scott went to Kyoto, too)
We finished recording (play, sing, record) back in December 2023. We could not believe we were able to do that, in spite of what happened. We were very very thankful.
We went on to edit and mix the songs, so that they sound perfect. (Well, maybe not perfect, but they sound good!)
Even though we have been working on multiple projects (like planning a USA tour), we continued working and now we have all the songs finished here!
I can’t believe it!
This is a happy record.
I can’t wait to release this album, because it will bring so much happiness to people.
It’s full of love messages, and it’s an album with a straightforward Christian message.
And it’s probably the most 80’s sounding album we have ever made. (You know that we love rock music from 1980’s, right?)

Now, when will we release it?
Well, we are going to release the “Best Of” album first.
So it takes some more preparation.
But we are hoping to release it sometime this year.
