Godman EP recording sessions

As you can see, we’ve been very busy recording a new EP.

The EP is temporarily titled “Godman EP.” It will include a total of 7 tracks (6 songs plus 1 instrumental). With seven tracks, we’re not entirely sure if it can still be called an EP—it feels more like a half album, or maybe even a three-quarters album.

This EP will be our homage to Ozzy Osbourne, the heavy metal legend who passed away this year.
Some of the songs are inspired by, or based on, Ozzy Osbourne’s classic album “Diary of a Madman.”

It’s an old-school metal release in the style of 1980s classic hard rock. At the same time, it also includes more modern songs that reflect Imari Tones’ current—and future—sound.
It will be another bold statement from this unique Japanese band, spiritually, musically, and historically.

At this point, most of the recording is already finished. The guitar tracks, acoustic guitars, drum tracks, and vocals have all been recorded. Only a few bass tracks and background vocals remain. We’re confident that everything will be completed by the beginning of next year.

We are planning to release this EP in 2026.

Here’s some footage from the recording sessions, which we’ve posted on Imari Tones’ social media pages.
