Yorisoi church concert

In June, we had a very blessed concert at our church.

It was planned by “Ko and Saori”, our good friends.
(This time however, unfortunately Ko Ito, the guitarist, couldn’t come to Japan. Saori Mann performed as a solo.)

The concert was titled “Yorisoi”. It means “be one’s side”.
It was a charity concert for “suicide prevention”.
There is a church/ministry in Wakayama prefecture Japan, they are working hard for “suicide prevention” there. One of the goals of this concert was to support them.
Also it was to tell people how to help people when they are in depression.
And, most importantly, spread the Message of Hope.

“Ko and Saori” is a “Japanese Gospel rock duo” based in Tennessee, USA.
We are good friends since years ago.
We are very happy to be a part of this concert – their first concert in Tokyo area.
We are happy that they chose Asao Christ Church (our church!) for the venue.

So many Gospel musicians took part in this concert.
One of them was Hiroki Miki.

Maybe some people remember him from our “Calling Records” days.
He was a singer for a Christian rock band called CLOD. (Alternative rock, J-rock) After that, he was performing as a solo singer. However he had been away from playing music for the past several years. We were very happy to see him come back!

With Hiroki Miki, and our good friend Midori

Also there was “The GeeBars”. They are Christian acoustic duo. We respect them so much. (They came all the way from Fukui prefecture.) They have a long career of playing music at churches in Japan. Their music is something special. (I think you can call it “Christian Indie Folk.) Check them out, if you are interested!

With The GeeBars and Saori Mann – also Kenshin: He didn’t play but came to the rehearsal and hang out.

We, Imari Tones, played as a duo. Tak&Marie.
So that was our 2nd “Duo Style” show.
(Because it takes some more time for us to play a show with Kenshin.)

We posted a short movie of us playing “Sonic Soldiers”. I hope you can feel the energy!

So many good friends of ours attended this event. We had so many happy reunions and we made new friends. We are very happy to be a part of this concert and ministry.

We will continue to work with “Ko and Saori” and friends, in order to convey the message of hope to people in Japan.
Thank you very much for your support!

With friends – Thank you everyone😀
