As we are getting ready for the album release, we are trying out some new social media platforms. (As if we weren’t already busy enough with the internet stuff!😆)
The reason here is simple: we want to reach more people with our music.
Another reason is that some of our favorite bands recently started using this Bluesky thing. We don’t know why, but we thought, “Okay, we might give it a try” 😉
(But honestly, most of our favorite bands are not good at social media —just like us! 😂)
No, we are not going to delete our X(Twitter) profile. X is very popular in Japan, and we have some great friends there 💕 (We only post in Japanese on X.)
We also started “Threads.” It was easy because it’s connected to Instagram. (Even though we were hesitant. Another platform? Really? 😂)
Then we noticed that joining Bluesky is sometimes seen as a political move. We don’t want to limit ourselves to politics of any kind. (Politics in Japan is very different from other countries, and we have friends on all sides.)
So, to balance things, we also created an account on Rumble, that video site we’ve been hearing about. It looks pretty much like YouTube. We will see if we like it as we explore it.
And yes, we already tried TikTok and have been posting stuff occasionally there, but honestly we don’t like it very much. I don’t think rock bands will benefit from being on TikTok. (Maybe popstars do?)
Like I said, we are not really good at social media games of the current internet. But we are trying to broaden our horizon.
