The music world is no exception.
With the rise of the internet and the decline of the music industry’s influence — especially rock music —
many musicians turned to religious marketing as a way to lock in their fans.
And sadly, it turned out that manipulating people through “religious marketing” is more profitable
than honestly rocking out and delivering a sincere message.
Religious marketing also pairs well with politics, nationalism — and yes, with exclusivism.
So what is “religious marketing”?

Scripture says, “There is no one righteous, not even one.”
Even in a faith centered on sinners, we’ve seen many fall victim to this “righteousness syndrome.”
That’s why, when we talk about politics, we understand just how dangerous that syndrome can be.
Today’s world is a place where all previous values have collapsed.
The universal values that once upheld humanity have been destroyed,
replaced by numbers on a platform and algorithms controlled by AI.
In a sense, civilization itself is already over.
That’s how I see it.
In this world, I’ve felt that there’s nothing I want, nothing I truly hope for, nothing worth fighting to win.
If there is anything at all, it’s this:
To spend meaningful time — even just a little — with the people close to you, the ones you love.
And if this world —
with its humanity, its human dignity, its universal values, and its true faith in God —
is destined to perish,
then we will build a new world from the ruins.
From the wasteland, we’ll give birth to something new, rooted in what’s essential.
It’s okay to start from zero.
It’s okay to start from scratch.
We’re not young anymore.
And if you ask me whether I’m prepared to survive in a world headed toward chaos… I honestly don’t know.
I already feel like I no longer belong to this world.
But if there’s still a sound I’m meant to make in this world —

今まで人類を支えてきた普遍的な価値観が破壊され、それらがプラットフォーム上の数字に置き換わり、AIのアルゴリズムに取って代わられる時代だ。
だからある意味では、文明社会はもう滅んでいると言える。僕はそう考えている。
そのような世界の中で、僕が欲しいもの、人として望むもの、戦って勝ち取る価値のあるものなど、なにひとつ無いと感じていた。
もしあるとすれは、身近な人、大切な人、愛する人と、少しでも価値ある時間を過ごすことだけだ。
そして、もしこの世界が、–人間性や人間らしさ、普遍的な価値観、そして本当の神への信仰が–、滅び去るのであれば、僕たちはその廃墟の中から、何もない荒野から、本質に根ざした新しい世界を生み出すのだすのだ。
それはゼロから、一からで構わない。
僕たちももう若くはない。混迷に向かう世界の中で、たくましく生き抜いていく覚悟があるかと言われれば、わからない。僕たちはもうとっくに、この世界には属していないような気がしている。
だが、この世界で自分が鳴らすべき音があるのであれば、最後の一音まで、それを鳴らしていくつもりだ。
