Some of you may have heard the rumor about Shinryu leaving the band. (That is, if there is any rumors about Japanese Christian metal band. But we have many friends and I know they care about us)
We were waiting for the right time for making this official. We could have waited until the album release. But we think now is the right time.
Yes it’s true. Shinryu is leaving the band and our concert in Osaka last month was his last show with us. And the videoshoot last week was his last job with Imari Tones.
The reason Shinryu leaving is because of his personal situation. It’s a shame because we were such a good team. But the good news is we remain friends. Yes musicians say this all the time. But this time we REALLY stay friends. We are sure we say from hi time to time and even collaborate if any chance shows up.
That’s why we did an extensive videoshoot the other day. It’s for the new album he played on. We filmed 5 songs worth of footage and Shinryu will be a part of the album promotion.
Shinryu, Marie, and Tak. We were almost a perfect team. Together we were unstoppable at our live shows.
For now, we don’t feel like searching for a new drummer soon. Maybe we won’t play live shows for a while. But we will come back and play our music again in a new form when the time is right. We are already excited about it.
Please support and pray for Shinryu for his new journey. The legend of the Christian Samurai Drummer continues. It was a once in a lifetime experience for us to play and make music with him. We will post many music videos featuring Shinryu. Please look forward to the release of the new album.
