CBA release vlog4 – Album released

Tak: It’s finally time to release “Coming Back Alive”, our new album.

Marie: It’s been a long journey.

Tak: We released our previous album “Nabeshima” back in 2021. So it took nearly 4 years.

Marie: It’s probably our first time to have this long gap between albums.

Tak: Maybe because we are getting older. But I want you to know that we made so much music after “Nabeshima”. After we made “Nabeshima”, we made “Bloody Acoustics EP”, “To Rome” EP, and recorded 15 songs for Patreon. Also we made 2 EPs for our side project Dakeno Kakari.

Marie: So, in fact, we were making more music even after Nabeshima.

Tak: However, in 2023, just when we were going to start making the next album, the fire incident happened.

Marie: The fire in the apartment building we were living in. It changed our life.

Tak: It was a tough time. But we received so much support from our fans. We felt so much love. It was a life changing experience. We are forever thankful.

Marie: We lost home. But we were guided to Asao Christ Church and lived there for 6 months. We met so many people there. It was a beginning of a new journey. God told us to serve more. He told us to work harder for Him. We are still a part of this church. It’s a blessing.

Tak: It’s funny because we had this title “Coming Back Alive” even before the fire. Because our previous album “Nabeshima” was musically complex and progressive, we were planning to come back to the simple style. But now, after the fire incident, it had a whole new meaning. We literally survived the fire and came back alive.

Marie: When I look back the past 4 years, after we made Nabeshima, it was a great journey. The drummer Shinryu, bassist Marie, and the guitarist and singer Tak. 3 of us, we were very powerful as a team.

Tak: We toured a lot in Japan and played so many shows. We played in Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, Shizuoka, and Tokyo. We toured in the USA twice, in 2022 and 2024. It was a great journey. It was a journey of rock’n’roll and faith. We met so many people and we made so many friends.

Marie: Look at this. We autographed the CDs.

Tak: Technically speaking, Shinryu is not in the band anymore. But we are still friends. So we sent these CDs to him and made him autograph. Maybe next week we will get together and take a picture together.

Marie: Unfortunately, Shinryu left the band last year October. But we are very excited for the next season. I think we can try new things, with 2 of us, Tak and Marie. Actually 3 shows are already booked for the first half of 2025. We will keep playing music.

Tak: And when the time is right, we will look for a new drummer. – It may cause some confusion when I say this, but this new album “Coming Back Alive” is an appropriate “Happy End” album for us.

Marie: Some people are not aware, but we have been making music for a long time. We made so much music. It was not a big commercial thing. It has always been a small, personal project. But we’ve been doing this for God.

Tak: Our new album “Coming Back Alive” is a happy album and we have no regret if it would be our last. Because it has a very positive message of love and faith. It is the music we dreamed of when we were teenagers.

Marie: On our pervious album “Nabeshima”, we achieved something extraordinary. Very diverse and progressive music. It was like a journey in another dimension. But this time, we came back to earth from another dimension, and play simple music again. It’s like, getting back from the dead and come back to see you. It’s a message of love, resurrection, and eternity.

Tak: We will continue making music. In the future, we will go further in the direction of “Nabeshima” and play Samurai Christian Metal, based on Japanese traditional music. However, for “Coming Back Alive”, it was our chance to make something simple before we get too old. We are very happy and proud because we made this straightforward rock music with teenage spirit.

Marie: This album is heavily influenced by 1980’s hard rock music. So it’s old school. Maybe it sounds different from modern music, but we are glad if you enjoy it.

ありがとうございます~!!!
