Our official band logo??!!
For a long time, we didn’t have an official band logo.
We were using whatever font that looked good and went with them.
However back in 2021, when we released “Nabeshima” album, we decided to make something official.
Tak did some Japanese calligraphy and that was our first proper band logo, written in Japanese kanji characters.
Can you read it?
Maybe not. Only Japanese people can read it.
Technically speaking, the English band name is not a part of the logo. We only made Kanji part, so that you can use whatever English font that looks good. (Maybe that’s lazy, but it’s our identity to write our band name in Japanese. It’s kind of the same as those death metal bands whose band logo no one can read.)
Do you know how to spell our band name in Japanese?
Here it is.
“伊万里音色”
That’s our fancy way to spell our band name. We often use this name when we play shows in Japan.
When we search on the internet, there is so much confusion about our band name, band logo, and spelling. Maybe because we are still an obscure band from Japan.
But let us make it clear once in a while.
Our official band logo is the Kanji version created in 2021.
Our band name is Imari Tones.
We spell our band name this way in Japanese “伊万里音色”.
You can also spell it in Katakana letters and that will be “イマリトーンズ”.
(However, to tell you the truth, we don’t really care as long as you enjoy our music!😉)
Thank you very much for your support!
